So you have acquired one of my paintings!

On Protecting Your Investment:

Congratulations on your new acquisition!

All my recent paintings are registered with the gobal organization Fine Art Registry. Your new piece of art bears the official Fine Art Registry™ seal and is registered in the FAR® central secure database, along with photographs and a full description.

Now you need to make sure the transfer of ownership of the piece is recorded. Follow these simple steps to let the world know it’s yours.

And it is free!

 

Steps to transfer ownership:

1. Go to: www.FineArtRegistry.com

2. Click on "Join FAR" and follow the on-screen instructions to become a member. Remember there is no charge.

3. Confirm and Check Out.

4. Once checkout is complete, the screen that appears is “Your New Member” page.

5. Under “Management”, simply click on “FAR Ownership Transfer” and fill
in the dialog boxes.

6. Click on “Submit Request”, which takes you to a review page.

7. If all is okay, click on “Complete Request”. A page will appear stating that your transfer request has been submitted.

At the same time FAR will send an email notification to you that the transfer request has been sent to the artist/collector (that is me) for approval.

8. When the request is received by the artist (that is me), an approval response should follow within 48 hours. If for some reason you do not receive an email notifying you of the approval of the transfer of ownership, you should contact me (as the artist or seller of the item) directly and/or log in to place a second transfer request.

 

Note: If you do not formally transfer ownership, the database will NOT reflect that you are the current owner. Becoming a member is absolutely FREE and all ownership transfers are FREE.

 

In completing the online transfer of ownership, you play a critical role in ensuring that the provenance/history of ownership of your artwork remains current. If you ever decide to resell this artwork, art collectors will appreciate that you have taken the time and the necessary steps to ensure proper provenance, thereby increasing its value.

This simple transfer process via the Fine Art Registry website is well worth the few minutes it takes to complete the process.
