"What is going on up the street? Curiosity has them excited - but their mother has told them to stay at home.

We were visiting Patzcuaro, Mexico. in 2006. The circus was in town. A truck with a loudspeaker was encouraging the crowd to come to that evening's show. Towed behind was a cage with a zebra and a camel. Older local children were gathering around.

From photographs taken along the street, this painting was developed."
