Hairpiece
"They laughed as they gathered around a kiosk selling hairpieces and accessories. Edged on by her friends, one began trying on some hair extensions. The attendant did her best to obtain a sale. The fun and noise attracted the woman on the right, who was just strolling by.
Their laughter first attracted my attention. I was sitting at a coffee shop in Horton Plaza, a large shopping mall in San Diego, while my wife was away on a shopping spree. I suspected that they were on a break from the nearby convention center. I took a series of photographs from which this painting was developed."
